September is here, and with it brings the 2 set to kick-off on September 19th. Last year鈥檚 inaugural event was met with much interest, and we are excited to see another week planned that celebrates the essential role that peer review plays in maintaining scientific quality.

Peer Review Week brings together individuals, institutions, and organizations committed to sharing the central message that good peer review, whatever shape or form it might take, is critical to scholarly communications. This year鈥檚 theme 鈥淩ecognition for Review鈥 explores how those participating in review could be recognized for their contribution. Here at 50度灰 we recognize reviewers in many ways, and are constantly working towards new and innovative ways to improve what we we offer.

As you may remember, in 2015 we surveyed 5,000+ reviewers to get a better understanding of their motivation for reviewing, the workload of the review process, the resources needed to get the work done, and the type of recognition they found most appealing. We closely and are still open to hearing what matters to you, the reviewer. You can always reach out to us .
