The HIRAKU 3MT Competition is an exciting opportunity for doctorate students to effectively explain their research within a limited time-span of three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. The Competition aims to develop the doctorates¡¯ presentation and research communication skills while leading to the broader society (as the audience) further enhancing their understanding of doctorate resources and researches.
The Competition was conducted entirely online within Zoom this year. Thank you for joining us and we are looking forward to seeing you next year, too.

The 3MT Competition was developed by The University of Queensland and is currently held at over 900 universities across more than 85 countries worldwide.

The HIRAKU Program is operated by Hiroshima University as the Lead Partner Organization, Yamaguchi University and Tokushima University as the Co-Partner Organizations. HIRAKU develops young researchers with cross-disciplinary challenges, which will eventually enhance their aspiration and passion to change society. The Program forms the industry-academia-government consortium, engaging public and private universities mainly located in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions, as well as a growing number of institutions/corporations in public and private sectors, aiming to increase opportunities to leverage exceptional competencies of young researchers, who will lead future generations.
