LYRASIS open access books sponsorship agreement

Information for institutions and authors

Our sponsorship agreement for open access (OA) books with LYRASIS, a US non-profit membership association of libraries, archives, and museums, is set to lead to the publication of new OA book titles on climate change, equity, peace, and justice.

It will provide free access to research in critical areas that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will support and advance research and teaching aligned with these SDGs. Authors or editors looking to publish their research under one of the following UN Sustainable Development Goals - SDG 5, SDG 9, SDG 12, SDG 13 and SDG 16 - may benefit from full OA funding under this sponsorship agreement, to publish their book with 50業子 under an open license CC BY 4.0.

The agreement covers all 50業子 book imprints, ensuring your work is freely accessible and discoverable to all communities across science, technology, medicine, the humanities and social sciences. Your work will also be available to readers around the world via 50業子's content platform 50業子 Link.

Announcement

The OA publication service for the LYRASIS OA books sponsorship agreement has reached its maximum book allowance. This means the agreement is no longer covering OA publishing fees.

Authors should use alternative funding sources in order to publish OA or proceed with paid-for publication. If you need advice on what OA funding is available to you, please visit our funding & support service page. For more information, please contact oabookspartnerships@springernature.com. Alternatively, contact the OA team at your institution.

We are excited to establish the LYRASIS UN Sustainability Development Goal Book Publishing Fund that allows our members to support the production and dissemination of knowledge to readers around the world. As we collaborate to address the global challenges outlined in the SDGs, students, teachers, researchers, and global citizens need access to the latest research to further progress. This new program offers an opportunity for every library to engage and support book publishing on these important topics that academic institutions are addressing through teaching and research.

Celeste Feather, Senior Director for Content and Scholarly Communication Initiatives, LYRASIS
