Springer Journal Archives FAQ

Is all content from the Springer Journal Archives available on 50¶È»Ò Link?

It is our goal to provide comprehensive Springer Journal Archives packages. Although most SJA content from the original Springer Archives offering is now available, the digitization of particular volumes of a specific journal might be delayed. These volumes will become available as soon as the digitization process is completed. Access will be granted according to your current contract.

Will the archival content of new Springer take-over journals automatically be added to the archive?

The Springer Journal Archives will be updated regularly with content from take-over journals. For different reasons this might not be possible for each new journal. Contact your local Springer representative for more information regarding updates to the Springer Journal Archives.

Are there any exclusions of back content being digitized by Springer?

Exclusions include journals presently not online or journals which are not copyrighted, which have none of their content in English, or which were discontinued prior to 1995.

How do I license Springer Archives content?

Single site, multi-site and consortia arrangements are available for all our electronic content. For more specific pricing and title information please get in touch with your local sales representative.

Can journals be assigned to more than one package?

No. Many of the Springer journals are considered to be interdisciplinary and, for a time, some of the journals could be assigned into 2 or 3 packages, but we now offer clear packages with no overlaps.

For how long do I have access to a package once it is purchased?

You have either access to the complete Springer Journal Archives or to combinations from 11 journal archives subject packages. In the event that current electronic subscriptions under the License Agreement with Springer are terminated, you may still access the Springer Journal Archives purchased through 50¶È»Ò Link for an annual hosting fee or request transfer of such Springer Journal Archives to a local host. At your request Springer make the archival data available on a data carrier.
